This is a question we get asked by many customers that are worried about being tied into long contracts or have previously experienced this. This is one of the biggest fears parents have about joining a tuition company whether online or face to face.
You are right to ask this question as we have heard of some tuition companies locking students down for a minimum of one school term or even one year. Many of these require one terms notice to cancel their contract.
"The period after cancelling can often be a little weird as its almost like you've quite your job and are working off your 3 month notice"
Some parents have told us that they joined a company in September and have been tied into a contract until July the following year.
The good news is here at Mathinar, we do not believe in minimum contracts. If you or your child are not enjoying the classes, you shouldn’t be forced to attend them just because you have paid for them. In fact, if your child is not enjoying the lessons, we would encourage you to cancel your subscription.
We charge our subscription fees monthly, and they can be cancelled any time. You can cancel by logging in to your settings and cancelling, or you can email us and ask us to do it.
For example, if your monthly fee was due out on the 10th of each month, and you decide to cancel on the 8th or 9th of the month (just one or two days before) and you will not be charged on the 10th and your subscription will have ended. The whole process takes about 30 seconds.
