Edexcel GCSE Maths 1MA1 Past Papers from 2017

The exam papers on this page are all from The Edexcel GCSE Higher Maths 1MA1 syllabus. Teaching began in September 2017 and the first exams took place in June 2017. Numerical Grades 9-1 (replacing Grades A*-G) were introduced with this syllabus.

Edexcel GCSE Maths 1MA1 Format of Course

The Edexcel GCSE Maths 1MA1 syllabus is a Linear course with all exams to be taken at the end of the course. This webpage contains all the available papers that have been released to public.

Schools would decide to enter students for Higher (Grade 9 to Grade 4) or Foundation (Grade 5 to Grade 1)

Exam Format

Students sit three exam papers, each paper is equally weighted and worth 80 marks, the total marks are 240. Paper 1 is a non-calculator paper, papers 2 and 3 are calculator papers. Each paper is 90 minutes in duration.

Calculators Allowed

Calculators are allowed on Papers 2 and 3. The most common calculators used by students in the UK are Casio FX83, Casio FX85, and Casio FX991EX.
