Teaching began in September 2017 and the first exams took place in June 2017. Numerical Grades 9-1 (replacing Grades A*-G) were introduced with this syllabus.

AQA GCSE Maths 8300 Format of Course
The AQA GCSE Maths 8300 syllabus is a Linear course with all exams to be taken at the end of the course. This webpage contains all the available papers that have been released to public.
Schools would decide to enter students for Higher (Grade 9 to Grade 4) or Foundation (Grade 5 to Grade 1)
Exam Format
Students sit three exam papers, each paper is equally weighted and worth 80 marks, the total marks are 240. Paper 1 is a non-calculator paper, papers 2 and 3 are calculator papers. Each paper is 90 minutes in duration.
