A-Level Maths

Is your child studying A-Level Maths? Our A-Level Maths classes are open for any student that achieved a minimum of a Grade 7 at GCSE.

Our aim at Mathinar is to get your child to a Grade A or Grade A* by the end of Year 13.

Syllabus

Our A-Level course is design for students studying the AQA and Edexcel A-Level Maths Courses as a majority of the schools in the UK follow those. If your child studies a different syllabus, please contact us to see if we cover the content required for your child.

If your child is looking to achieve a Grade A in A-Level Maths, this is the class for them.

We have two A-Level Course, Year 12 Unlimited and Year 13 Unlimited

Year 12 Unlimited

This is for students currently in Year 12 or those in Year 13 wanting to recap their first year Maths.

Your child will get two lessons each week. A ninety minute Teaching Lesson and a sixty minute Homework Consolidation Lesson.

Teaching Lesson

This is where we learn new concepts from the Year 12 course. We cover the whole Year 12 course over 30 sessions, each 90 minutes in duration. This includes 18 Core Maths lessons, 6 Statistics and 6 Mechanics lessons.

Your child will be set homework after each teaching lesson which they need to complete and mark before the Homework Consolidation Lesson nine days later.

Once we have taught the entire course, we begin our revision and we do so by practicing exam questions each week. Your child will be taught what types of questions are more likely to come up as well as how to work efficiently in an exam.

Homework Consolidation Lesson

In this sixty minute session, we ask students which questions in the homework they have struggled with and we show students how those questions should be answered. This is their chance to ask for help on whatever they have been struggling with.

This is a new class, in previous years, students would only get 90 minutes of teaching each week, now they get 150 minutes each week.

Our aim by the end of this session is that if your child was to complete the homework again, they would achieve full marks.

Year 13 Unlimited

This is for students currently in Year 13 wanting a achieve a Grade A or higher by the end of the academic year.

Your child will get two lessons each week. A ninety minute Teaching Lesson and a sixty minute Homework Consolidation Lesson. All classes are Live and Interactive, these are recorded and uploaded to the membership site for students to view in their own time.
